Just Because Shoot

A while back, I decided in my head that it was time for Cal and I to have some updated pictures of the two of us. I'm a ham, I don't mind being in front of the camera. Not that it's my life's goal to be a model, but it doesn't make me uncomfortable. Cal, on the other hand, isn't someone who enjoys a lot of attention from a lens. When I mentioned wanting to do this, he kindly obliged. Since we hope to buy a house in the near-ish future, I want to have something fresh to put on the walls. Who knows...maybe we will do it again when Spring flowers make their return.

Before sharing the new photos, I thought I'd share a few from our engagement session FROM 2009!!! My friend Peter Adams took these! I still love them. :) They do make me a little sad...I miss my long hair.

My sweet photographer friend, Daytona, took the new ones! We had a blast and she made both of us feel so comfortable. When I asked about doing a shoot, she had already been thinking of mentioning it to me. We are kindred spirits. I'm so thankful for her, both professionally and personally!!!

To the couple that has been married for a while, go get some pictures taken! It's not just for the newly engaged and married people. It's fun, easy, and something that would make for a FANTASTIC date idea!
