I know most of the western world sees the word "Monday" and cringes. Well, it's usually my day off. So I love it. Except today, I'm playing catch up on a number of things, so I don't get to hang in my pajamas all day. (Does anyone actually get to do that?)
This past weekend was nothing short of busy and amazing. Saturday morning, I was called in to the biscuit factory...boy, I was rusty. It's been about 4 months since my last shift at Handsome Biscuit because I spent all summer at our new cafe at Norfolk Botanical Garden. Well, after working 6 sweaty hours, I left for a beautiful wedding at Bayville Golf Course with Brandi of As You Wish Events. My life, I tell ya. Covered in food at 2 pm and setting up an elegant reception by 3. Never boring, folks.
Natalie and Brian's wedding was lovely and their families and guests were SO NICE! I'm extremely thankful for the opportunity to work with Brandi and Julie this year. If you're starting a business, I HIGHLY recommend you find someone who does what you do and try to work for them. Or volunteer. Learn!
Sunday, Cal and I started to drain our pool. It won the battle. I just don't have the time or energy (or the interest!) to keep it clean. After turning a strange hue of green, I decided to give up. It will be going to its new home later this week. According to the YouTube video we watched, it'll take until Wednesday to finish draining. In the meantime, I'm going to pray the sun comes and dries up our yard before we have a huge mud puddle.
In other news, I am not a self-proclaimed cat photographer. iPhone 6 only, puleeeze.
They are purrfect.
Okay, my photography package will include one highly edited photo of my cats. My cats only, as they are the only subjects I've "mastered"...
But I did order these in large prints to hang in my house. #catlady
