Thankful for Mondays

If you read my post last week, you know that I was giving away a proposal planning to one lucky groom! Well, all I will tell you is I AM SO EXCITED about this proposal!

My Monday to-do list is full of wedding prep. It seems like it's been forever since my last wedding in September. Haleigh and Michael are first up in 2016. They will be married February 6th and I cannot wait!!!

Friday night, Cal spoke at the opening session for our church's youth retreat. Teenagers are not my forte. Truthfully, they terrify me, but I have a special relationship with a small handful of gals, so it's nice to hang out with them every once in a while.

Saturday evening, Cal and I were invited to bonfire. It was so giant, we had to use tree limbs to roast marshmallows.

Cal helps manage our church's vegetable garden. The harvest is used to supply our food ministries. He and the team of "farmers" spend time each week weeding, picking, and planting. Sometimes, there is a bounty and Cal let's me pick a few things. So, we had a fresh, delicious lunch yesterday.

Lastly, our church hosted our very first Jingle Jam. A wonderful event for both kids and their parents, it tells the story of the baby Jesus. Cal and I opened the night up with games and goofiness. Even Santa made an appearance!

I wish you a very happy and productive week. Christmas is only 2.5 weeks away (inner panic attack happening right now!!!), so make sure you are soaking up all the holiday cheer!
