Thankful for Mondays

Breaking radio silence today. January has been a bit of a "lost month" for me. On New Year's Day, I had the chills, scratchy throat...that's when it started. One whole month later, I am still battling this plague. Despite all of it, I managed to book several weddings this month, sang a few solos at church, and ended up deep cleaning my house a few times. Where I failed was blogging, working on my website, and checking a few other business related boxes.

So here's to February, or as I have decided to call it, my second shot at January!

This past weekend, my entire family got together to celebrate my aunt and her new husband! They eloped earlier this month, so we decided to have a little wedding party...with a cake and everything! My mom was in charge of pulling everything together, so of course, I inserted myself in the planning. ;)

This beauty was made by my dear friend, Chelsi. She has done several cakes for my styled shoots and is growing into such a talented baker. You can follow her on fb here.

This weekend, I am excited to do my first wedding of the year! You'll learn more about Haleigh and Michael tomorrow, but for now, just know that I have adored Haleigh's sweet family for years and cannot wait for our time together!

I'm excited to share a few other really fun announcements with you this month. One of those is my new website! Fingers crossed that it will be ready to go by March 1st, but I'm planning to share some of the process with you in the coming weeks. This has been a laborious effort on my part because I am super indecisive when it comes to this stuff. I like just about anything, so narrowing down a specific design for my logo was hard for me. Fortunately, April of PaperDolls Design was patient and helped me work through my waffling. I think you'll really like it!

For the rest of 2016, I still have openings for about 6 weddings...so if you have an engaged friend, family member, or you might become engaged yourself, let me know! I'd love to take part in your big day!
