Thankful for Mondays

Hello from the Great White North! I am in Québec with Cal and my dad, visiting friends from seminary. This weekend was a blur because I spent all of Saturday in a car. All of it. Fortunately, we survived the car ride and managed to all still be friends. Haha!

Weekend starts with Friday, right? Well, I volunteered on Friday night at the Cystic Fibrosis Brewer's Ball at O'Connor Brewery. My friend Rachelle and I manned the Handsome Biscuit booth. Met a lot of cool people. Ate good food. It was fun!

After getting just 3 hours of sleep Friday night, it was an early start for us Saturday morning. Nothing of note happened on our way, which is the way one would want it. Cal did see New York City for the first time.

Sunday included a trip to Québec City for church and exploring. I am lost in this beautiful French-speaking land. Having only had Spanish, it's terrifying to have someone speak to me. Hahah! I froze up ordering lunch, but thankfully, our server at dinner spoke English.

The entire service was in French! I loved it!

My beautiful friend, Candi. We visited Parc de la Chute-Montmorency, a waterfall outside the city.

I'll share more from our trip when we get home. For now, I've got lots of kid snuggles to get and Québécois food to eat!
